Renovation plans announced for Švenčionys Fire Station in Lithuania

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has announced a solicitation for the renovation of the Švenčionys Fire and Rescue Station in Lithuania. The project aims to improve energy efficiency and update various structural elements of the facility.

The scope of work includes insulating exterior walls and attic slabs to achieve a Class B classification for energy consumption, as per EU regulation 2017/1369. Additionally, an exterior insulation finish system will be applied to all exterior walls, while wood finishes will be provided for the building's main entry facades on the northeast and northwest sides. The project also involves replacing asbestos roofs and attic insulation, roof gutters, downspouts, and installing a perimeter drainage trench around the station. Building downspouts will be connected to the municipal storm system, and a PCC apron will be provided around the station.

A pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for June 5, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. local time in Švenčionys, Lithuania. Interested offerors must pre-register their attendees by June 4, 2024. Registration details are available in solicitation attachment 15.
