The Democratic Republic of Congo has launched the National Summary Data Page (NSDP), marking its implementation of the International Monetary Fund's Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS). This initiative aims to promote transparency by encouraging countries to publish essential macroeconomic and financial data.

The NSDP serves as a centralized portal for various macroeconomic statistics, including national accounts, prices, government operations, debt, monetary and financial sectors, and external sector data. The launch was supported by an IMF technical assistance mission funded by Japan through the Japan Administered Account for Selected Fund Activities. This effort was conducted in collaboration with the African Development Bank from June 2 to 6, 2025. The Ministry of Finance hosted the mission alongside the Banque Centrale du Congo and the Institut National de la Statistique.

With this reform, the Democratic Republic of Congo joins 76 countries globally and 34 in Africa that utilize e-GDDS for standardized data dissemination.

Mr. Bert Kroese, Chief Statistician and Data Officer at the IMF’s Statistics Department, described this development as a significant milestone for Congo's statistical progress. “I am positive that the Democratic Republic of Congo will gain substantial advantages from deploying the e-GDDS as a framework to enhance its statistical system,” he stated.
