A Consular Officer from the U.S. Embassy is scheduled to visit the British Virgin Islands on June 12, 2025, to process applications for U.S. passports and Consular Reports of Birth Abroad. The services will be provided by appointment only and will not include any visa-related assistance.
The appointments will take place at Maria’s by the Sea Hotel Conference Room in Road Town, Tortola. The schedule for these appointments is from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. All applicants are required to pre-pay online as bank drafts or other forms of payment are no longer accepted.
To make an appointment, individuals must schedule online at https://bb.usembassy.gov/consular-outreach-visits-for-u-s-citizen-services. Walk-ins and accompanying individuals without appointments will not be assisted.
Applicants need to bring several documents including a completed passport application, two passport-size photos, original proof of U.S. citizenship, a social security card, and a prepaid air waybill for passport delivery. Additionally, printed proof of online payment is necessary.
For children under 16 years old, further documentation such as the child's birth certificate and both parents’ identification is required. If both parents are listed on the birth certificate but cannot attend, a notarized Form DS-3053 from the non-applying parent must be submitted.
Payment instructions specify that fees must be paid online prior to the appointment date through designated links for forms DS-11 and DS-82 available at pay.gov. The costs vary depending on the service requested.
