Everest has announced the appointment of Ashleigh Sears as the Head of Alternative Risk and National Accounts Excess Casualty for North America Insurance. In her new role, she will report to Joe Fobert, who serves as the Head of North America Retail Casualty and Industry Practices at Everest Insurance.

Sears transitions to Everest from USQRisk, where she held the position of Head of U.S. Casualty. Her career path includes senior roles at Navigators Management Company, where she established the Boston office and developed a profitable New England E&S portfolio across various industries. Following The Hartford's acquisition of Navigators in 2019, Sears became the Northeast Division Leader for Hartford Excess Solutions. In this capacity, she led an excess casualty underwriting team that significantly increased profitability over four years. She began her career with ACE as an underwriter.
