Sun Life U.S. has appointed Dr. Todd Gray as the Chief Dental Officer for its Dental business, which includes DentaQuest. Dr. Gray will focus on enhancing clinical strategies through evidence-based improvements and collaboration with dental providers and associations.
"This dedicated clinical leadership role will further strengthen our industry-leading clinical team and advance collaboration with providers," stated David Healy, president of Dental at Sun Life U.S. "Dr. Gray has the right mix of experience to drive enterprise clinical alignment across all our segments and brands."
Dr. Gray aims to build a culture centered on person-focused care with an emphasis on prevention and will support advocacy efforts to educate policy leaders about oral health's importance.

With over 20 years in dental leadership, Dr. Gray's background includes direct patient care delivery and managed care dental benefits administration, focusing on special populations like Medicaid recipients.
Previously, he served as CDO for Teledentistry.com and Liberty Dental Plan and held various positions including dental director for Nevada.
Sun Life U.S., which includes DentaQuest, manages dental benefits for approximately 35 million Americans and is a major Medicaid and CHIP dental benefits administrator in the U.S.
