Toyota Canada Inc. reported significant sales growth in May 2025, particularly in the electrified vehicle segment. The company achieved record sales for both its Toyota and Lexus divisions.

In the Toyota Division, electrified vehicles reached an all-time monthly high with 10,886 units sold. This accounted for 47.1% of all Toyota units sold during the month, marking a 40.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

Lexus also saw a record-breaking month for electrified vehicle sales, with 2,027 units sold. These sales represented 57.1% of all Lexus Division units sold in May 2025, showing a substantial rise of 63.1% from the previous year.

Several hybrid models experienced notable demand increases:

- The Toyota Camry Hybrid's sales rose by 237.9%.

- The Toyota RAV4 Hybrid saw a 67.9% increase.

- The Toyota Crown Signia had its best month since launch.

- The Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid recorded an 80.5% rise, achieving its best-ever monthly sales.

- The Toyota Land Cruiser also marked its best month since launch.

- Sales of the Toyota Sienna increased by 57.9%, marking its best May performance.

For Lexus hybrids:

- The Lexus ES Hybrid's sales grew by 8.2%.

- The Lexus UX Hybrid increased by 4.6%.

- The Lexus NX Hybrid surged by 283.7%, achieving its best May ever.

- Sales of the Lexus NX 450h+ jumped by an impressive 451.3%, setting a new monthly record.

- The Lexus RX Hybrid saw a rise of 23.8%.

- Sales of the Lexus RX 450h+ increased by 28.1%, marking its best May performance.

- The newly introduced Lexus TX Hybrid rose by 18.7%, achieving its best May yet.

Overall, TCI sold a total of 26,643 vehicles in May, representing a growth of 12.6% from May last year.

The Toyota division alone reported selling 23,090 units in May, reflecting an increase of 9.1%. Meanwhile, the Lexus division achieved record-breaking May sales with a total of 3,553 units sold—a remarkable increase of 41.3%.
