The U.S. Embassy in Budapest, Hungary is seeking contractors for weekly gardening services at three of its residential properties. The locations include "Matyas" with an area of 11,219 square meters, "Ora" covering 8,796 square meters, and "Bimbo" which spans 7,528 square meters. The service period is set for one year and is expected to begin by July 1, 2025.

Interested firms must be technically qualified and financially responsible to perform the required services. The minimum requirements for submitting a proposal include having an established business with a permanent address and telephone listing in Hungary. Additionally, firms must be able to understand English in both written and spoken forms.

Other prerequisites include having the necessary personnel, equipment, and financial resources available to carry out the work. This includes trained and qualified employees for gardening or landscaping tasks who hold relevant qualifications such as a vocational high school diploma or adult education certification.

Applicants should also have at least five years of experience in landscaping and lawn care maintenance. All necessary licenses and permits as per Hungarian law are required along with liability insurance coverage. Firms must ensure that they have no adverse criminal records; workers are required to obtain a Hungarian “Certificate of Good Conduct.” Payment terms accepted are NET30.
