Toyota Motor Europe (TME) has announced changes to its executive team in the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) sector. TME is responsible for the wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota, GR (Gazoo Racing), and Lexus vehicles, as well as parts and accessories. It also oversees Toyota's European manufacturing and engineering operations.
The company employs over 26,000 people directly and has invested more than EUR 12 billion in Europe since 1990. TME operates eight manufacturing plants across Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey. Approximately 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are currently on European roads. These vehicles are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies and around 2,800 retail sales outlets in 53 countries including EU member states, the UK, EFTA countries, Israel, Turkey, and other Eastern European nations.

As a longstanding leader in CO2 reduction within Europe, TME targets a complete CO2 reduction in all new vehicles in Western Europe by 2035. Additionally, it will continue offering a comprehensive range of electrified powertrains including hybrid, plug-in hybrid battery electric vehicles as well as fuel cell electric vehicles to customers across the region.
