DBS Foundation awards SGD 3 million to support innovators in Asian elder care

DBS Foundation has announced the recipients of its first Impact Beyond Award, distributing SGD 3 million to four businesses addressing challenges in ageing societies. The winners were selected from nearly 100 global submissions through a rigorous evaluation by DBS senior leaders and external experts. These businesses are recognized for using technology to develop new solutions, fostering collaboration across sectors, and enhancing caregiving networks.

Tan Su Shan, CEO of DBS, stated: "We are proud to recognise our Impact Beyond Award winners — not just for their innovation, but for their deep commitment to tackling real societal challenges with purpose and heart." Karen Ngui, Head of DBS Foundation and DBS Group Strategic Marketing and Communications, added: "Societies are ageing rapidly... We hope these innovative businesses for impact will demonstrate that businesses can indeed be a force for good."

The awardees include Buddy Of Parents (BOP) from Singapore, Huakang Health Industry Group from China, Evercare Health Limited from Hong Kong, and Life Circle Health Services from India. Each winner will use the funding to further develop products or services aimed at improving elder care.

Mr. Kenneth Wong of Evercare Health Limited expressed gratitude: “Evercare is guided by its Family First principle... winning the DBS Impact Beyond Award accelerates our mission.” Mr. Anant Kumar of Life Circle Health Services said: "This recognition strengthens our mission to build India’s eldercare infrastructure." Mr. Raymond Bo of iWOW Technology remarked: “Thank you, DBS Foundation... this grant is more than just a milestone.” Mr. Nie Jian Min of Huakang Health Industry Group commented on the importance of the award in enhancing elderly care services.

The announcement was made during the DBSF Impact Beyond Dialogue event at Marina Bay Financial Tower 3 in Singapore. The dialogue focused on leveraging AI/technology and cross-sector collaboration to improve lives in ageing societies.
