The U.S. Mission to Yemen is currently inviting applications for the 2026-2027 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program. This program, part of the Fulbright exchange initiative, aims to enhance leadership among international professionals by addressing local and global challenges through collaboration.

The ten-month fellowship targets mid-career professionals with a track record of leadership and public service commitment. Participants will engage in independent non-degree study at a leading U.S. university, focusing on fields such as economic policy, public administration, technology management, communications, law, agriculture, urban planning, public health policy, and substance abuse education.

Applicants must be Yemeni citizens with a bachelor's degree and at least five years of professional experience. They should have management or policy responsibilities and demonstrate leadership qualities and English language proficiency. "For the Humphrey Fellowship, U.S. universities require current English language test scores from all applicants," states the program guidelines.

Dependents are not allowed to accompany participants in the United States. The fellowship covers international travel, tuition fees, English language training if needed, accident/sickness coverage, a monthly maintenance allowance, and funding for books and professional activities.

Interested individuals must apply online by July 19, 2025. Only shortlisted candidates will be notified via email during the week of August 17, 2026.
