Oasis fans are expected to spend a significant amount of money attending the Live '25 tour in the UK. According to Barclays' Wonderwallets research, attendees plan to spend an average of £766 each on various expenses such as tickets, travel, accommodation, and outfits. With all 17 UK concerts sold out, nearly 1.4 million fans will witness the reunion of the Gallagher brothers.
The total anticipated spending for the tour is estimated at £1.06 billion, surpassing what was predicted for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in 2024. This higher total is attributed to Oasis performing two more UK dates than Swift.
Barclays' research indicates that fans are willing to exceed their budget for this experience. Sixty-four percent spent more than planned on tickets but believe it is worth it. Additionally, 24% wish they had spent more for better seats or VIP packages.
Beyond ticket costs, fans will incur expenses on accommodation (£108), travel (£70.50), clothing (£73.70), merchandise (£59.70), and pre-concert food and drinks (£75.20). The spending trend reflects a broader consumer preference for experiences over physical items.
Tom Corbett from Barclays commented on the enthusiasm surrounding this event: "As Britain braces for one of the most highly anticipated musical comebacks of all time, Oasis fans are putting their budgets to work to relive a golden era of Britpop."
Rich Robinson added that this shift towards valuing experiences marks a fundamental change in consumer financial priorities: "For Live ’25 ticket holders, their investment isn’t just about attending the event – it’s about creating lasting memories tied to their cultural icons."
