Toyota Motor Europe NV/SA (TME) has introduced its Arene technology in the all-new RAV4. TME, responsible for the wholesale sales and marketing of Toyota, GR (Gazoo Racing), and Lexus vehicles in Europe, operates eight manufacturing plants across Portugal, the UK, France, Poland, Czech Republic, and Turkey. Since 1990, Toyota has invested over EUR 12 billion in Europe and employs more than 26,000 people.
Approximately 14.7 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles are currently on European roads. These drivers are supported by a network of 28 National Marketing and Sales Companies and around 2,800 retail sales outlets across 53 countries including EU nations, the UK, EFTA countries, Israel, Turkey, and other Eastern European countries. In 2024 alone, TME sold over 1.2 million vehicles in Europe.
Toyota emphasizes its commitment to "Mobility for All" with an aim to create safer and more connected mobility solutions. The company launched the KINTO mobility brand offering services in 20 countries while expanding its zero-emission fuel cell products business-to-business sales.
Contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals is a priority for Toyota as it strives to achieve carbon neutrality throughout its operations in Europe. TME plans to reach a complete CO2 reduction in all new vehicles in Western Europe by 2035 through various electrified powertrains including hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery electric vehicles (BEVs), and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).
