The Central African Republic has launched the National Summary Data Page (NSDP), marking its implementation of the IMF's Enhanced General Data Dissemination System (e-GDDS). This system encourages countries to voluntarily publish essential macroeconomic and financial data, promoting transparency as a global public good.

The NSDP serves as a central portal for disseminating various macroeconomic statistics, including national accounts, prices, government operations, debt, monetary and financial sectors, and external sector data. The launch was supported by an IMF technical assistance mission funded by Japan through the Japan Administered Account for Selected Fund Activities (JSA) and conducted in collaboration with the African Development Bank from May 12 to 16, 2025. The mission was hosted by “Institut Centrafricain de Statistique et des Études Économiques et Sociales,” in collaboration with the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) and the Ministry of Finance and Budget.

With this initiative, the Central African Republic joins 75 countries worldwide and 33 in Africa using e-GDDS for standardized data dissemination.

Mr. Bert Kroese, Chief Statistician and Data Officer at the IMF’s Statistics Department, acknowledged this development as a significant milestone in the country's statistical progress. He stated that "the country would benefit from the improvement in data transparency" and emphasized that "the IMF stood ready to continue supporting the authorities in further developing their statistical systems."
