The World Trade Organization (WTO) has released documents related to the Trade Policy Review of Cabo Verde. The review process includes several key reports: a detailed Secretariat report, an executive summary, and a government report. These documents are designed to provide insights into Cabo Verde's trade policies.
The WTO Secretariat independently prepared a comprehensive report on Cabo Verde's trade policies. Additionally, the government of Cabo Verde provided its own policy statement for the review. Both reports were discussed by the WTO’s full membership within the Trade Policy Review Body (TPRB).
Trade Policy Reviews are conducted as part of the WTO agreements, which require member countries’ trade and related policies to be regularly examined and evaluated. This exercise is intended to monitor significant developments that could affect the global trading system. All members of the WTO undergo these reviews, with their frequency determined by each country's size.
"Chairperson’s concluding remarks," along with an audio recording of those remarks, are available from the meeting.
