Fubon Financial Holdings has announced the return of Taiwan's largest marathon, 'The Fubon Run For Green Public Online Running,' in celebration of Earth Day. This event, which started in 2024, allows participants to upload their running data via devices like GARMIN or apps such as Strava. Completing a total of 40 kilometers earns runners a tree planted by Fubon in their name.

Last year, nearly 29,000 participants contributed to planting over 66,000 trees. This year's event includes collaborations with brands like Uber Eats, adidas, GARMIN, and Gogoro to offer additional rewards for meeting mileage goals.

"The Fubon Run For Green x GARMIN Xiangshan Light Trail Running" was held on April 20 with support from GARMIN. It included professional coaching and interactive activities focusing on waste reduction principles for about 300 runners.

Since its inception in 2021, the Run For Green initiative has combined sports with sustainability through marathons and events. By the end of last year, over 300,000 participants helped collect more than 100,000 saplings.

Fubon Financial Holdings also released a brand story video titled 'The Tree Planter,' featuring Tsai Chih-Hao from the Taiwan Reforestation Association. The video highlights efforts to restore native species and promote coastal afforestation.

Fubon plans to continue its commitment to sustainability by collaborating across sectors for a better future.
