Fubon Financial Holdings has launched the "Green Hour" initiative in line with Earth Day 2025's theme, "Our Power, Our Planet." This initiative encourages individuals to spend one hour each day engaging in low-carbon relaxation activities. The goal is to rejuvenate personal energy while contributing to environmental recovery. The company is inviting its employees to participate in this experience and has organized workshops promoting a zero-waste lifestyle.

Economist Juliet Schor's research supports the benefits of moderate relaxation, stating that it can reduce work stress and high carbon consumption, aiding in achieving carbon reduction targets.

Richard M. Tsai, Chairman of Fubon Financial Holdings, highlighted the company's commitment to environmental initiatives through the Run For Green program initiated in 2021. This program involves marathon runners in tree-planting activities and has resulted in over 100,000 trees being planted in Taiwan.

Prior to Earth Day, Fubon hosted a 'Green Hour' experience during lunch breaks by transforming office spaces into themed areas such as a yoga zone and a vegetarian supply station. These activities aim to combine physical well-being with sustainability efforts.

The company has also partnered with Story Wear for a series of 'Zero Waste Lifestyle Workshops.' Employees are encouraged to donate unused jeans for redesign into new products, fostering sustainable consumption practices.

Fubon Financial Holdings announced the return of the 'Fubon Run For Green Public Online Running,' where participants can track their mileage using devices like GARMIN or apps like Strava. Completing 40 kilometers will result in a tree being planted in their name. Partnerships with brands like Uber Eats and adidas aim to enhance the sustainable sports ecosystem.
