Fubon Asset Management has successfully merged with Jih Sun Securities Investment Trust, marking a significant step in its goal to become "The First-class Asset Management Company in Asia." The merger received approval from the Financial Supervisory Commission on January 21, 2025, and was finalized on April 1, 2025. On the first business day after the merger, all systems were reported to be operating smoothly.
Alex Huang, Chairman of Fubon Asset Management, stated that this merger will enhance their investment operations talent pool, improve capital efficiency, and strengthen market competitiveness. He emphasized that it would ultimately enhance economies of scale and offer customers a wider range of high-quality products and services. Huang assured that Fubon Asset Management would assume all rights and obligations previously held by Jih Sun Securities Investment Trust to protect customer interests.
