The U.S. Embassy in Lima is set to hold an online auction from May 30 to June 1, 2025. The auction will feature excess items owned by the U.S. Government, including IT equipment, furniture, appliances, and other miscellaneous goods.
Participants interested in bidding must register on the official website at https://online-auction.state.gov. Once registered, users can view active auctions and select "Lima, PE" to begin bidding. All transactions are conducted in Nuevos Soles (S/), with payment required via bank transfer.
Winners will be notified on June 2, 2025, with instructions for payment and item collection scheduled between June 4 and June 6 in Santiago de Surco or Villa el Salvador.
Items are sold "as is," without warranties or guarantees. The auction's terms stipulate that no claims or refunds will be accepted post-sale. Additionally, bidders must handle all applicable taxes and fees upon winning a lot.
The Embassy reserves the right to reject bids deemed unfair or inconsistent with market value and may disqualify participants for fraudulent activities or non-compliance with terms. Payments must be confirmed by an authorized representative of the Embassy before item collection is allowed.
Winning bidders have a strict timeline of twenty-four hours from notification to complete payments; otherwise, their bids may be canceled. Collection dates are tentative and subject to change at the discretion of the Embassy.
During collection, bidders must adhere to safety protocols and wear mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Any incidents during collection remain the responsibility of the bidder.
