The U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking input from insurance companies capable of providing global medical coverage plans. This RFI aims to gather information on available health insurance policies that include a range of services such as hospitalization, emergency services, outpatient care, and more.
The Embassy is interested in policies covering areas like obstetric and newborn care, pediatric services, prescription drugs, mental health care, and dental treatment. The proposed coverage should also extend to catastrophic events and out-of-country medical treatment.
The Embassy emphasizes that this RFI is solely for informational purposes and does not constitute a formal solicitation or commitment to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) in the future. "This request for information does not commit the Government of the United States of America to contract for any supply or service whatsoever," states the announcement.
Interested parties are invited to submit their responses by email no later than June 6, 2025. Responses should include company details such as official name, license copy, mailing address, contact numbers, and designated points of contact.
While meetings with potential providers may occur, they will only serve to clarify capabilities further. Questions regarding this RFI can be submitted via email.
The Embassy notes that all information provided is subject to change and should not be seen as binding on the Government. "The U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic has not made a commitment to procure services discussed," according to the release.
