Samsung Electronics has announced the Galaxy S25 Edge, a new addition to its Galaxy S series. The smartphone features a slim design with a titanium body measuring just 5.8mm in thickness. TM Roh, President and Acting Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, described the device as "more than a slim smartphone," emphasizing its role in advancing mobile industry innovation.
The Galaxy S25 Edge weighs 163 grams and includes a titanium frame for durability. It is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front display, providing both strength and vibrancy. The phone's camera capabilities are highlighted by a 200MP wide lens that enhances low-light photography by over 40% compared to previous models. A 12MP ultra-wide sensor with autofocus allows for detailed macro photography.
Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform customized by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., the Galaxy S25 Edge offers fast performance and improved AI processing capabilities. The ProVisual Engine ensures sharp image details, while AI editing features like Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist are included.
AI integration is a key feature of the device, offering personalized experiences while maintaining data privacy through Samsung Knox Vault. Users can also benefit from Gemini Live's camera and screen sharing abilities, made possible through collaboration with Google.
