The U.S. Department of State is working with the Department of Homeland Security and various partners to evaluate eligibility for refugee resettlement in the United States for Afrikaners and racial minorities in South Africa. This initiative follows President Trump's Executive Order 14204, which addresses actions by the Republic of South Africa deemed egregious.

Eligibility for consideration under the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) requires individuals to meet specific criteria: they must be of South African nationality, belong to the Afrikaner ethnic group or a racial minority, and have experienced persecution or fear future persecution.

Prospective applicants are required to fill out a Statement of Interest form, accessible via a provided link. Even those who have previously expressed interest through other channels should complete this form. Due to high interest levels, responses may be delayed.

The USRAP process is managed by designated U.S. government personnel. Applicants are advised against using external preparers or translators for completing the form, as translation assistance will be provided if selected for an interview. During interviews, candidates may be asked about any assistance received during their application process.

Access to USRAP is free, including filling out the Statement of Interest Google form. The program warns against scams and advises applicants not to pay unauthorized individuals claiming to expedite resettlement processes. Applicants are urged not to share personal information with untrusted parties and maintain control over identity documents.

Fraud can be reported through a specified online form.
