Siemens is advancing its industrial AI offerings with the introduction of sophisticated AI agents. The company's strategy involves differentiating between Industrial Copilots, which serve as user interfaces, and the AI agents that operate them in the background. Siemens is also working on digital agents and incorporating physical agents like mobile robots to establish a comprehensive multi-AI-agent system where all components are interconnected and collaborative.

Siemens' approach emphasizes the orchestration of these agents through an extensive ecosystem. This setup allows for integration not only among Siemens' own agents but also with third-party solutions, facilitating unprecedented interoperability. To further drive adoption and innovation, Siemens plans to launch an industrial AI agent marketplace hub on its Xcelerator Marketplace. This platform will provide customers access to both Siemens' AI agents and those developed by external parties.

The Siemens Industrial Copilot, enhanced by these Industrial AI agents, covers every phase of the industrial value chain across various industries:

- **Design Copilot**: Available for NX CAD, it aids users in accelerating product design processes by allowing them to navigate complex data efficiently.

- **Planning Copilot**: In pre-release stage, this tool optimizes production planning through generative AI insights.

- **Engineering Copilot**: Set for release in 2025 for TIA Portal with Managed Service, it facilitates automation code generation via natural language inputs.

- **Operations Copilot**: Available for Insights Hub; a version tailored for shop floor workers will be introduced by the end of 2025.

- **Services Copilot**: The Maintenance Copilot Senseye offers expert-level diagnostics without requiring specialized knowledge.

These tools have shown tangible benefits in Siemens' plants and customer sites globally. For instance, at thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering, engineers have noted improvements in code quality and development speed due to this technology's global rollout. At Siemens' Bad Neustadt site, manufacturing operations have been transformed into actionable insights through the Insights Hub Production Copilot.

"In a factory environment, our Industrial AI agents connect different copilots and automate workflows across the entire value chain," said Brehm. "This creates a unified approach that makes industrial AI accessible to everyone."
