The United States and the Faroe Islands conducted their annual Partnership Dialogue in Washington, D.C., on May 5. The meeting was led by U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Sharon Hudson-Dean and Faroe Islands Director General of the Foreign Service Jóannes V. Hansen.

The discussions covered various topics of mutual interest, including energy, natural resources, trade, cybersecurity, and the protection of critical infrastructure. A notable point highlighted was the opening of the Representation of the Faroe Islands in Washington on September 1, 2024. This development has strengthened bilateral relations between the two parties and fostered new opportunities for collaboration.
