U.S. Ambassador to Mongolia, Richard Buangan, is set to participate in the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Mongolia's annual Doorknock Mission to the United States, scheduled from May 5 to May 7. This mission aims to strengthen U.S.-Mongolia commercial ties, as emphasized by meetings with senior government officials in Washington, D.C.
The 2025 Doorknock provides AmCham and Ambassador Buangan the chance to enhance their understanding of the Trump Administration’s America First foreign policy priorities. The U.S. Embassy in Mongolia is committed to supporting private sector-led opportunities that help grow the economic relationship between the U.S. and Mongolia while expanding market opportunities for U.S. businesses in Mongolia.
The AmCham Doorknock has been an annual event since 2014, serving as a platform for U.S. and Mongolian business leaders to engage with policymakers in Washington, D.C. This year's mission will promote Mongolia and offer insights on collaborating with U.S. exporters, investors, and legislative leaders. The 2025 delegation represents various U.S. interests in Mongolia and will meet with senior officials from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the Trump Administration, and members of Congress.
