Toyota Canada Inc. reported a significant shift in its sales dynamics for February 2025, highlighting the growing demand for electrified vehicles. The company disclosed that electrified vehicles comprised 55.9% of the Toyota Division's sales and 66.8% of the Lexus Division's sales, marking a record for February.
During January, several hybrid models experienced heightened demand. The Toyota Camry Hybrid saw an increase of 62.4%, while the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid observed sales boosts of 47.4% and 52.2% respectively. The Toyota Highlander Hybrid posted a notable 125.7% increase, and the Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid rose by 4.1%. Additionally, Toyota Sequoia marked its best February with a sales rise of 38.5%.
In the Lexus lineup, the NX Hybrid and NX 450h+ models achieved their best February sales, increasing by 49.2% and 61.1% respectively. The RX Hybrid and RX 450h+ also reached record sales with gains of 28.2% and 130.0%. The Lexus TX Hybrid grew by 18.5%, setting another record for February.
Overall, Toyota Canada sold 13,924 vehicles in February, representing a 20.2% decrease compared to the same month in 2024. The Toyota Division registered sales of 11,660 units, a decline of 24.2% from February 2024. Conversely, the Lexus Division reported record February sales of 2,264 units, a 9.5% increase from the previous year.
Toyota and Lexus vehicles assembled in Canada continue to be in high demand.
