Gain has introduced a new line of in-wash scent boosters, called Gain Tango Scent Boosters, offering a mix of fruity and floral scents. The range includes two unique combinations: Strawberry + Shea and Piña + Plumeria. These in-wash scent boosters are designed to provide a lasting fragrance up to 12 weeks, from wash to wear.
Ben Sattler, Gain's Senior Brand Director, explained the inspiration behind the product: “We discovered a group of people that are really passionate about scents and used them as an expression and elevation of their unique selves. They love finding something new and different, and we've coined them as happiness hunters.” Sattler noted that Gain worked closely with top perfumers to cater to these individuals by pushing the boundaries of fragrance experiences.
Created by Gain's parent company, P&G, which has extensive expertise in fragrance, the Tango Scent Boosters utilize a mixed beads technology. It infuses perfume capsules into fabrics during the wash, releasing their scent through touch and movement over time. Piña + Plumeria combines tropical and fruity aromas, while Strawberry + Shea blends crisp berries with shea for sweetness.
P&G Fragrance Scientist, Ricardo Espina, added, “Gain users shared they seek out variety and intensity. Our approach for these perfume blends was to create fresh, floral base notes with luscious fruity top notes, incorporating perfume capsule technology to create a long-lasting complex scent.” Espina hinted at more innovative releases from Gain over the next 18 months.
