The U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Overseas Building Operations (OBO) is seeking expressions of interest for architectural and engineering services related to a multi-discipline building inspection and boundary survey. This effort pertains to a potential residential property acquisition in central Suva.

This project is not designed or constructed by the U.S. Government. The developer bears full responsibility for design, construction, and quality assurance. However, the Department of State requires engineering oversight to ensure that building and construction standards are met.

The goal is to produce comprehensive reports for building inspections and boundary surveys. These reports will help certify the condition of the property and its systems and establish the recorded boundaries. Moreover, they will identify potential defects and suggest corrective actions.

Interested firms need to submit several documents, which include a detailed company profile, business registration, financial reports for the past two years, current resource capability, and records of past projects.

Key factors in the selection process will include the responsiveness of the proposal, approach to the services, relevant experience, and the qualifications and readiness of the applying firms.

Inquiries can be addressed to SuvaProcurement@state.gov. All submissions must be marked as "ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES" and hand delivered to the U.S. Embassy Procurement Office, located at 158 Princes Road, Suva. The deadline for submissions is 12:00 pm on May 12, 2025.
