On April 28, 2025, a virtual briefing was held to highlight opportunities for U.S. companies in Egypt's port and logistics sectors. The briefing was attended by U.S. Ambassador Herro Mustafa Garg, Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, and Minister of Transport and Industry Lieutenant General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, as well as Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Engineer Hassan El Khatib.

The session aimed to showcase Egypt's strategic position as the crossroads of Africa and the Middle East, emphasizing its transformation into a global logistics hub. The virtual event attracted a wide array of U.S. firms, underscoring the strong commercial ties between the two nations and a mutual commitment to sustainable economic growth and shared prosperity.

Ambassador Mustafa Garg stated, “Collaboration between the United States and Egypt is essential not only for enhancing economic opportunities but also for advancing mutual prosperity. We value our partnership and look forward to increased U.S. company participation in this vital sector.”

During the briefing, Minister El Khatib discussed the Egyptian government's strategy for improving the business climate and attracting foreign investment. Deputy Prime Minister Al-Wazir highlighted how American companies could play a role in developing and modernizing Egypt's transport and logistics network.
