NAB's Chadstone branch will begin Saturday operations, joining 30 other branches across Australia. The bank aims to cater to the needs of customers who prefer weekend banking while visiting Melbourne's fashion hub or shopping for groceries.

NAB Personal Bank Executive Belinda Mamet highlights that the Chadstone branch's added convenience follows a successful pilot of 30 branches since last November. "We know how busy customers are from Monday to Friday, so this move just makes sense," Mamet stated.

Acknowledging the popularity of digital banking, Mamet noted the importance of in-person banking services. "While digital banking is the most popular form of service, we also know that sometimes people prefer to do their banking face-to-face, which is why we’re making it easier for customers," she added.

Mamet expressed satisfaction with the feedback received so far and revealed plans for further expansion. "We’ve had fantastic feedback already and we’re looking to add more branches in high foot traffic locations to our Saturday program," she said. "It’s about making sure our customers can visit a branch when it is convenient for them and providing more access for those who would like a personal interaction/service."

The bank has invested $38 million in renovating and upgrading its branches nationwide over the past year.

NAB Chadstone will operate on Saturdays from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm starting April 26.
