The U.S. Embassy in Guatemala City's American Citizens Services unit has announced passport services for U.S. citizens in Quetzaltenango on May 20 and 21, 2025. There is no need to schedule an appointment for these services.
On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, passport applications will be accepted from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The following day, Wednesday, May 21, 2025, the hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Both sessions will take place at the INGUAT Office, 14 Avenida A 3-22, Zona 1, Quetzaltenango.

Payments for the passport application fees must be completed online at pay.gov prior to the submission of applications, as cash or credit card payments will not be accepted on site.
Applicants using Form DS-11 for a passport book and/or card are required to print their online payment confirmation receipt and include it with their application. Similarly, adult applicants renewing a passport with Form DS-82 should also include a printed receipt of their online payment.
