The Global Sovereign Debt Roundtable (GSDR) convened in Washington, D.C., focusing on enhancing debt restructuring processes and addressing debt vulnerabilities. During the meeting, participants reviewed accomplishments and discussed future priorities.

International Monetary Fund Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, World Bank Group President Ajay Banga, and South Africa's Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana, who holds the G20 Presidency, co-chaired the discussions. They presented a "Restructuring Playbook" designed to assist debtor country authorities considering debt restructuring, shedding light on key steps and processes involved.

Additionally, the co-chairs released the GSDR 4th Cochairs Report and a compilation of technical issues addressed so far by the GSDR. The roundtable aims to foster a common understanding among debtor countries, and both official and private creditors, to tackle debt sustainability and restructuring challenges.
