ANZ has announced the appointment of Chris Raciti as Country Head ANZ Singapore. Raciti will also oversee the bank’s operations in eight markets across South East Asia, India, and the Middle East.

Raciti has a 20-year tenure at ANZ, serving in senior positions such as Country Head ANZ China, Country Head ANZ Korea, and Head of Loan Syndications and Specialised Finance for North Asia, with his most recent posting in Hong Kong.

ANZ’s Managing Director, International, Simon Ireland, expressed confidence in the appointment, stating, “I'm confident that Chris is the right person to lead our business in Singapore, a global financial hub and a vital part of the region’s continued growth.”

Ireland emphasized Raciti’s dedication to leveraging ANZ's network for customer benefit, highlighting his focus on risk and regulatory stability. “His commitment to bringing the best of our network to customers, underpinned by strong risk and regulatory foundations, will serve him well as he takes on this new leadership position.”

Ireland acknowledged Raciti's expertise within the Asia-Pacific region: “Chris is one of our most experienced bankers and leaders in the Asia-Pacific region. He is well-known for his ability to build highly engaged teams and drive growth and strategic opportunities for our business and customers.”

Praising the decision to fill the position internally, Ireland noted, “I'm particularly pleased that we were able to make this appointment internally, underscoring the breadth and depth of leadership we have across the region.”

Raciti is set to begin his new role in June, pending regulatory and travel clearances.
