ING continues €2 billion share buyback with €41 million purchase in April

ING reported the continued progress of its €2.0 billion share buyback programme initiated on October 31, 2024. During the week of April 14 to April 17, 2025, the bank repurchased a total of 2,533,714 shares. These shares were bought back at an average price of €16.38, amounting to a total of €41,510,658.77.

According to the bank, "in line with the purpose of the programme to reduce the share capital of ING", the cumulative total of repurchased shares under this scheme stands at 114,366,879 ordinary shares. These were acquired at an average price of €15.73, equating to a total sum of €1,798,477,285.64. The progress to date indicates that approximately 89.92% of the overall share buyback programme has been fulfilled.
