Brigadier General Jean Baptiste Gnakolo, Chief of Staff of the Republic of Congo's Army, participated in the African Land Forces Summit (ALFS) 2025 held in Accra, Ghana from April 7 to April 10.
During the summit, Gnakolo met with Brigadier General John A. LeBlanc, Deputy Commander of the National Guard of the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa. Their discussions focused on common strategic priorities, reflecting a broader effort to enhance regional military cooperation.
The event, sponsored by the Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army, was co-organized by the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa and the Ghanaian Armed Forces. It welcomed senior military leaders from across Africa and partner nations, aiming for a coordinated response to shared security challenges.
ALFS 2025 served as a venue for partners to engage in dialogue, exchange best practices, and strengthen relationships between African armed forces and their allies.
