As the global observance of Holy Week unfolds, the United States has conveyed its greetings to Christians worldwide. Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a press statement extending warm wishes to those commemorating Easter.

Easter, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ, is seen as a significant event for Christians. "With Christians across the world, Jeanette and I celebrate that Christ is risen and that Christ is King," Rubio expressed. The Secretary of State further shared his solidarity and prayers for those who face persecution and cannot freely celebrate these occasions. "May God protect and preserve His people, and may all nations respect the right of Christians to worship Jesus Christ," he stated.

The complete statement is available on the Department of State website.
