The U.S. Government has issued new guidelines for contractors and vendors engaged in procurement activities. The guidelines emphasize the necessity for companies to register with the System for Award Management (SAM) database to be eligible for contract awards. "Failure to register may disqualify you from consideration even if you are the lowest cost, most technically acceptable bidder," a statement from the government reads. The registration process is noted to be free of charge.

The Contracting and Procurement Section is encouraging companies to prioritize their SAM registration. They remind vendors that an active registration is a prerequisite for any contract award. To aid in the registration process, resources such as the DUNS to Unique Entity ID (SAM) Transition, Federal Service Desk, Frequently Asked Questions, a Knowledge Base, and a SAM Registration Guide are made available.

Additionally, there is an open solicitation, referenced as "Solicitation No. 19PS4725Q0007," related to FLP Shuttle Services. Interested parties can refer to the solicitation package, shuttle schedule, and anti-discrimination certification documents. The deadline for submission is set for April 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM.

Questions for the Contracting and Procurement Section can be directed to the Embassy Main Line at (680) 587-2920.
