U.S. Ambassador to Japan George Glass has arrived in Japan, landing at Haneda Airport alongside his wife, Mrs. Mary Glass, on April 18, 2025.

Ambassador Glass expressed his feelings upon his arrival, stating, “It is a true honor to be able to serve the United States once again, this time as the 32nd ambassador to Japan. In this golden age of U.S.-Japan relations, I am committed to growing our extraordinary partnership even further and to ensuring that our alliance continues to be a force of peace, prosperity, and progress at the heart of a free and open Indo-Pacific.”

In addition to his professional commitments, Ambassador Glass also shared a personal sentiment. “My wife, Mary, and I are thrilled to be here in a country where we have family and that has already captured a piece of our hearts,” he said.
