This Holy Week, the President and First Lady Melania Trump join Christians in prayer as they celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The President described Jesus as “the living Son of God who conquered death, freed us from sin, and unlocked the gates of Heaven for all of humanity.”
Holy Week, starting with Christ’s entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and ending with the Easter Vigil, is a time for believers to reflect on Jesus' crucifixion and prepare for His Resurrection. The President noted the significance of Easter Sunday and the sacrifices Jesus made, stating, “In His final hours on Earth, Christ willingly endured excruciating pain, torture, and execution on the cross out of a deep and abiding love for all His creation.”
The message also highlighted the administration's commitment to defending the Christian faith. “This Holy Week, my Administration renews its promise to defend the Christian faith in our schools, military, workplaces, hospitals, and halls of government,” the President said.
As the week unfolds, the President emphasized the values of love, humility, and obedience, expressing hope for America to remain “a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom for the entire world.” He concluded the message with a blessing for the nation and its people during the Holy Week.
