U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is scheduled to meet with European leaders in Paris from April 16 to April 18 to discuss ongoing efforts to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The trip aims to align with President Trump's objective to cease hostilities and prevent further casualties.

Secretary Rubio will be accompanied by Ambassador Steve Witkoff during the visit. The discussions will extend beyond the immediate conflict to explore collaborative opportunities in regional matters.

"Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Ambassador Steve Witkoff will travel to Paris, France, April 16-18 for talks with European counterparts to advance President Trump's goal to end the Russia-Ukraine war and stop the bloodshed," said Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce.

The meetings reflect a continuous diplomatic push by the United States to resolve international tensions and promote peace in Eastern Europe, while also focusing on mutual policy goals with European allies.
