In Amsterdam, ING has provided an update on its €2.0 billion share buyback programme, originally announced on October 31, 2024. The financial institution disclosed that during the week of April 7 to April 11, 2025, a total of 12,386,735 shares were repurchased.
The shares were bought back at an average price of €15.33 each, amounting to a total of €189,898,751.25. Commenting on the ongoing progress of the buyback initiative, the company noted, "In line with the purpose of the programme to reduce the share capital of ING, the total number of shares repurchased under this programme to date is 111,833,165 ordinary shares at an average price of €15.71, for a total consideration of €1,756,966,626.87."
Currently, approximately 87.85% of the maximum total value has been completed, reflecting ING's commitment to the successful execution of the programme.
