KfW IPEX-Bank experienced continued success in 2024, building on the record achievements of the previous year. The bank recorded new commitments amounting to EUR 23.9 billion, with EUR 22.4 billion from original lending and EUR 1.5 billion for bank refinancing under CIRR programmes.
KfW IPEX-Bank's CEO, Belgin Rudack, noted the significance of their accomplishments: "In 2024, our global team delivered a seamless follow-up to our excellent achievement in financial year 2023. Many domestic customers benefited from this performance by maintaining and expanding production capacity and opening up new sales markets, thereby securing jobs in Germany." She emphasized the importance of these efforts amid geopolitical challenges.
The Export and Project Finance business sector had a lending volume of EUR 85.4 billion by the end of 2024, up from EUR 78 billion the previous year. The bank contributed EUR 611 million to KfW Group's consolidated earnings, underscoring its role as a key income source.
KfW IPEX-Bank significantly contributed to the German and European economies, focusing on financing for sustainable and innovative projects, energy transition, and digital infrastructure. These efforts aim to strengthen the economy sustainably in a competitive global market.
Looking to 2025, the bank intends to leverage global dynamics. The focus remains on enhancing German and European competitiveness through resilient and innovative financing solutions.
