ANZ Corporation disclosed that the 2025 edition of the Community Ball in Adelaide successfully generated over $150,000 for local charities. The event, held at the Adelaide Oval, highlighted South Australian produce and talent through various fundraising initiatives including live and silent auctions, a SkyCity Balloon Pop, and a car raffle sponsored by Peter Kittle Toyota. Entertainment featured the award-winning cover band The Cast and performances by magician and mentalist Matt Tarrant.
Simon Birmingham, ANZ Chairman in South Australia, expressed gratitude towards the participants stating, “We are thankful to our customers, community and sponsors for their generosity and support in making this year’s Community Ball another success. The funds raised will significantly benefit the services our charity partners deliver, providing much-needed support to their respective communities.”
The ball brought together community partners to generate support for 12 South Australian charities, including the Hutt St Centre. Lauren Kilsby, Hutt St Centre General Manager Advocacy, commented, "Hutt St Centre is incredibly grateful to be a beneficiary of the ANZ Community Ball. The generosity of ANZ, its customers, and the wider community will make a real difference for people experiencing homelessness in Adelaide. These vital funds will help us continue providing essential services, warm meals, and pathways to long-term housing and stability. It’s heartening to see so many people come together in support of those doing it tough."
The annual event has accumulated more than $1.65 million for charity since its inception. The 2025 beneficiaries include organizations like Guide Dogs SA/NT, Women’s & Children’s Hospital Foundation, and Zoo’s SA among others. The ball was supported by sponsors like Peter Kittle Toyota, Yalumba, SkyCity Adelaide, Adelaide Oval, InDaily, Channel 10, and Scene Change.
