The Innovation Fair hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Bolivia is set to feature the creativity of 13 local innovators. The event, which is designed to connect technology and encourage innovation, will take place on Tuesday, April 8, between 3:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Cinemateca Boliviana, La Paz. Admission is complimentary, inviting everyone interested in technology to participate.

Rebecca Webb, the Counselor for Press, Culture, and Education at the U.S. Embassy, outlined the essence of the event: “Our Innovation Fair is an initiative designed to promote creativity and technology as powerful tools to address today’s challenges. Both Bolivia and the United States can be transformed through technology. Innovation connects countries around the world and drives regional economic growth.”

The exhibition will showcase projects from alumni of the Inspira community. Robotic Creators will focus on robots and 3D-printed prosthetics, while Huertos Smart introduces intelligent agricultural systems for urban areas to bolster food security in Bolivia. Education efforts at the fair include Energea's initiatives in waste management, STEM education, and energy efficiency. Peque Innova will present its unique blend of STEM and arts education concepts for young audiences. Additional insights on studying in the United States will be shared by a representative from EducationUSA La Paz.

Noteworthy innovations include Bohemia Papel's seed-infused recycled paper, which grows into plants post-use, and Quantum's electric vehicle models aimed at addressing personal transport needs. The fair will conclude with a 7:00 p.m. screening of the animated film WALL-E as part of the U.S. Embassy’s Movie Nights program, serving as a commentary on technology's role in modern life.
