NAB has announced new financial support measures for customers impacted by the severe storms in New South Wales. As part of these measures, Disaster Relief Grants of $1,000 are being offered to eligible customers to aid with emergency expenses following significant damage to homes, farms, or businesses.

NAB Executive Retail for New South Wales, Tony Story, stated that "a range of support measures – from grants to loan payment deferrals and other relief measures – were in place to help NAB customers left devastated by the severe weather." Mr. Story emphasized, "We are here to help the families, communities, and businesses in the local government area of Narrabri who have been affected. This is a challenging time for our customers, and we’re here to stand by them. We’re offering immediate assistance, including $1,000 grants, to help those who need it most."

The relief package includes deferrals or reduced repayment arrangements for various loans, extra support for those struggling with monthly payments, and waiving or refunding fees. NAB is also offering funds to employees who have been displaced or cut off from support services.

For further assistance, affected customers can seek information at NAB's Natural Disaster Relief and Support site. Phone support is also available for individuals and businesses during specified hours. All requests for assistance will be evaluated individually by the NAB Assist team, with grants available until May 2, 2025.
