Anu Prattipati Deputy Chief of Mission | U.S. Embassy in Kosovo

Good morning, Executive Director Zeka, Board of governors, and all the patron members represented here today. Chargé d’affaires Anu Prattipati expressed appreciation for the opportunity to speak at the AmCham Breakfast and discussed the mutual benefits of strong economic ties between the United States and Kosovo.

Prattipati emphasized the U.S. Embassy's view of AmCham as more than a partner, describing it as a driving force behind Kosovo's evolving business climate and international economic engagement. Highlighting AmCham's achievements, Prattipati noted, "Your 97 percent member retention rate—and ranking 6th among AmChams in Europe—proves that you’re delivering value."

Prattipati commended the successful delegations organized by AmCham to the United States, influencing investors and decision-makers. "And let me be direct: that matters," Prattipati stated. The SelectUSA program was also praised for amplifying the impact of these efforts. "I want to personally congratulate the seven companies who have already applied this year to attend the SelectUSA Investment Summit," Prattipati added.

Encouraging broader participation in SelectUSA, Prattipati described it as "a premier platform for international business development, offering unparalleled networking opportunities with U.S. government officials, businesses, and investors." The event was positioned as a catalyst for forming relationships that would further strengthen the bilateral economic partnership.

The U.S. administration's dedication to making America safer, stronger, and more prosperous, and its alignment with developments in Kosovo were highlighted by Prattipati. Looking to the future, Prattipati identified three areas of potential growth: stronger public-private partnerships, engaging the Kosovan diaspora, and deeper U.S. investment in Kosovo.

Prattipati underscored the value of public-private partnerships in attracting U.S. investments into sectors like energy, ICT, and manufacturing. "We know from experience that these types of partnerships can be transformational," Prattipati asserted. Prattipati also recognized the Kosovan diaspora as a tremendous, often underutilized asset for unlocking new flows of capital and expertise.

With regard to U.S. investment, Prattipati acknowledged the strong interest among American companies in exploring Kosovo's market, while noting the importance of infrastructure and confidence. "That is where AmCham plays a key role," Prattipati said.

The AmCham Breakfast was characterized as an opportunity to engage in open dialogue and explore ideas in an intimate setting. Prattipati concluded by congratulating AmCham on its achievements and thanked attendees for their ongoing investment in Kosovo's future and the U.S.-Kosovo economic partnership. "Let’s keep the conversation going," Prattipati encouraged.
