The U.S. Embassy has released a statement stressing the importance of adhering to U.S. immigration laws under the administration’s current guidelines. Highlighted are severe consequences for those found violating these laws, including imprisonment, deportation, and lifetime bans from obtaining visas or Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).

"If you try to enter the United States illegally, lie to get a visa or obtain approval via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) using inaccurate information, work without legal permission, or stay in the United States after your authorized stay expires, you will face serious penalties," the statement elaborates.

The Trump administration has stepped up efforts to address illegal immigration by enhancing border security and increasing the number of arrests and deportations of undocumented individuals. The Embassy underscores that, "some people believe they can violate U.S. immigration laws and avoid being caught. This is not true."

In 2023, Israel was included in the Visa Waiver Program, allowing Israeli citizens to travel to the U.S. for tourism or business without a visa for up to 90 days. However, Israelis must possess a full-validity biometric passport and an approved ESTA. “Do not risk it—if you get caught, you risk being sent back and being banned from entering the United States again,” the statement warns.

The press release also addresses the issue of U.S. visa fraud, which it describes as a serious offense. It outlines various forms of visa fraud, such as using fake documents, providing false information, unauthorized working, or overstaying visas. It affirms, "If you break the law in this way, you may never be allowed to enter the United States again."

To those aware of individuals currently residing illegally in the U.S. or working without the appropriate visa, the Embassy suggests urging them to voluntarily return home before they are apprehended. Ultimately, the message is clear: “Make the right choice, follow the law, and do not risk your safety, your family, or your future.”
