NAB is extending financial assistance to its customers in Western Queensland who have been affected by recent flooding. The bank is offering $1,000 disaster relief grants to those who have experienced significant damage to their homes, farms, or businesses.

Peter Atkins, NAB Executive Retail for Queensland, shared the bank's commitment to supporting its customers during this challenging period. "Already, Queenslanders have endured a great deal of devastation due to natural disasters this year. We’re here to support our customers through these challenging times," he stated. He further explained, "We’re offering immediate relief, including making $1,000 grants available, to help those most affected."

NAB customers in areas such as Barcoo Shire, Bulloo Shire, Longreach Regional Local, Paroo Shire, Quilpie Shire, and Winton Shire are being urged to reach out for assistance. The bank's support includes not only the grants but also the possibility of deferring loans and having reduced repayment agreements.

Additionally, customers struggling with credit card payments, personal loans, and home loans may defer upcoming payments. NAB is also waiving certain fees, including merchant terminal fees and early access fees to term deposits. NAB employees affected by the situation can access funds for temporary accommodation and essential needs.

To access these services, customers can visit the Natural Disaster Relief and Support page at nab.com.au. Alternatively, they can call NAB's support lines available for individuals and businesses. Assistance requests will be evaluated individually by the NAB Assist team, and the disaster relief program will continue until April 30, 2025.
