The U.S. Department of State has appointed Massad Boulos as the Senior Advisor for Africa. Boulos also holds the position of Senior Advisor to the President on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs.

Starting on April 3, Boulos and Corina Sanders, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, will visit the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda. Their agenda includes meetings with Heads of State and business leaders aiming to foster lasting peace in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo and to boost U.S. private sector investments in the region.

Senior Advisor Boulos expressed the importance of this mission, stating, "We are committed to advancing efforts for durable peace and promoting investment."

The Department of State highlights its commitment to strengthening relationships and promoting economic development through diplomacy.
