INSEAD has announced a new development in its educational approach by acquiring a stake in AVRIS, a leading XR platform specializing in business training. This partnership plays a significant role in INSEAD's strategy to offer innovative learning experiences and strengthens its commitment to advancing management education through technology.

The collaboration between INSEAD and AVRIS began in 2020 with the launch of the Immersive Learning Initiative on INSEAD's Middle East Campus in Abu Dhabi. This initiative, part of the school's Research & Innovation Department, focuses on enhancing management education's impact by utilizing XR and AI technologies. It leverages INSEAD’s academic strengths alongside AVRIS' media and technology expertise.

INSEAD has developed INSEAD XR in collaboration with AVRIS, providing a scalable, user-friendly, and cost-effective XR-based solution. With more than 25 VR experiences available, INSEAD XR claims to host the world's largest management education VR library. Over 40 INSEAD faculty members have either used or are creating VR experiences, benefiting more than 20,000 learners worldwide. Ten institutions around the globe have implemented the INSEAD XR solution.

Lily Fang, Dean of Research & Innovation, stated, “This is an important milestone as we continue to push the boundaries of learning and innovation through rigorous and relevant content, delivered in innovative formats. I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this partnership and look forward to what we will achieve in the future.”

AVRIS CEO Daniel Landau expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, “AVRIS is thrilled to deepen our collaboration with INSEAD faculty and the INSEAD XR team, working together to build a comprehensive Immersive-AI Learning Platform that combines academic rigour with innovative learning and research methodologies. This partnership is driving the future of management education, pushing the boundaries of how leadership and executive development are taught in today’s rapidly evolving business landscape."

AVRIS continues to lead in immersive learning, focusing on management education, executive development, and corporate training. The partnership with INSEAD enables AVRIS to deliver data-driven learning experiences that have real-world impact, through a combination of virtual reality and AI.
