Every year, Women's History Month provides an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of women throughout history. This year, President Donald Trump has issued a proclamation to celebrate the impact women have on the nation.

President Trump and the First Lady recognize American women from diverse backgrounds who have played vital roles in the prosperity and progress of the nation. "The First Lady and I honor American women from all generations and all backgrounds who have been integral to our prosperity and productivity, and who have made an indelible mark on the soul and heartbeat of our Nation."

In his administration, the President highlights "the brilliant and talented female trailblazers," citing their contributions across various fields such as business, policy, national security, law, and public service. He states they are leaders within his administration and collaborators in honoring women in history.

The proclamation tackles issues surrounding gender standards and sports, affirming specific policy changes aimed at maintaining traditional designations in government forms and protecting women's sports. President Trump references an Executive Order signed to recognize biological distinctions. As a result, government forms will no longer include an "X" gender marker, and the Passport Office will issue passports aligned with biological sex at birth. "No longer will our Government promote radical ideologies that replace women with men in spaces and opportunities designed for women."

Further, the President took steps to protect women's sports by directing federal actions in schools that receive government funding. The changes resulted in the National College Athletic Association and other associations restricting women’s sports to female athletes only. "By recognizing there are only two sexes, restoring Title IX protections, and protecting families, my Administration is empowering women every day."

President Trump reiterates commitments to broader policies enhancing the lives of women and families, including border security, economic rebuilding, and healthcare access. "I will never stop fighting for America's women and families."

He emphasizes the role of future generations, calling on Americans to celebrate the exceptional women impacting lives and shaping society. "Today and every day, America’s daughters ignite the dreams and develop the character of our next generation."

President Trump concludes the proclamation by officially marking March 2025 as Women’s History Month, urging public celebration of women's achievements.
